Sebastopol House Preserves the Memory of Seguin's Concrete Past
Before sky scrapers towered over Texas cities, one small town was leading the way in experimental construction. Seguin was once known as "The Concrete City" for constructing many of it's buildings out of limecrete. Built with limestone, gravel, water, sand and burnt lime, these buildings were built without any rebar supports. Nineteen of these buildings remain in Seguin with Sebastopol House considered one of the country's best preserved examples of 19th-century concrete construction. 09/22/2016 05:39 PM
