UT-Austin President outlines 3 initiatives in latest 'State Of University' address

AUSTIN, Texas — In his third state of the University address University of Texas at Austin President Greg Fenves talked about educating school leaders, accelerating research and transforming health care.

In his speech Tuesday, he also said the school has been working on finding financial aid for students.

"You need access to achieve success and that requires more than just gaining admittance. That means a student needs to be able to afford a UT education," Fenves said.

Fenves was inaugurated in 2015 as the 29th president of UT Austin.
