Car Pulled Out of Creek in East Austin; Police Search for Driver

AUSTIN, Texas -- A car was pulled out of a creek Friday morning near Bartholomew District Park in East Austin.

  • Car found in creek at 51st Street east of Berkman Drive
  • Car was abandoned
  • Police tracking down owner

A neighbor called police at around 6 a.m. to report the car, according to the Austin Police Department.

Officers said the driver was not inside and nobody was found nearby.

Police are investigating who the vehicle belongs to and how it ended up in the creek.
