Spectrum News is a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week local news service viewed on cable channels 1, 8 and 200 in Austin and channels 14 and 200 in San Antonio. Tune in for local weather reports six times an hour On the 1s (:01,:11,:21, :31, :41 and :51).

Based in our newsroom at 1708 Colorado Street since our first newscast in 1999, our staff reports around the clock on news, weather and sports from across Central and South Texas.

You can tune in anytime to watch the latest local news reports by anchors Todd Boatwright, Ed Greenberger and Meg Bonacorsi on weekdays and Elizabeth Jeneault, LeAnn Wallace and Victoria Maranan on weekends.

Our sports anchors Ricky Doyle and Joaquin Sanchez provide local sports updates at :15 and :45 past the hour. Boasting the largest sports team in Central Texas, the news channel also airs a 30-minute sports show, "Sports Night," Monday through Friday at 10 p.m.

Tune in weeknights at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. for "Capital Tonight," anchored by Karina Kling and supported by the largest political team in Central Texas. The show features our in-depth reporting and analysis of Texas state politics including reports from our bureau in Washington D.C.

The station changed its name to Spectrum News on Sept. 20, 2016. All of the company’s news channels across the United States will carry the name to more easily identify us as a local programming channel available exclusively on Spectrum.
