City Hall: Council Backs State Bill to Reduce Tolls, AFD Asks for New Division Chiefs
The Austin City Council threw its support behind a state bill that would cut the cost of tolls on SH 130, diverting big rigs off I-35. The council also gave the green light on construction for ABIA’s new garage and bought more time for Recycled Reads on Burnet Road. Man Dead in I-35 Bridge Beam Crash in Salado
Both directions of Interstate 35 in Salado were closed into the early hours of Friday morning after an 18-wheeler hit a bridge under construction around 11:15 a.m. Thursday, killing one and injuring three others. Our Mitch Goulding was at the scene shortly after the crash happened to find out more. Both northbound and southbound sides of I-35 have re-opened. Updated 08:45 AM
