As of Wednesday, spouses of gay state employees can now enroll for the same benefits available to opposite-sex couples. The Teacher and Employees Retirement Systems of Texas and both the UT and A&M University Systems have changed their policies to extend those programs after Friday's Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage nationwide. Our Karina Kling spoke with one university employee who says this move means he'll remain at UT.
