Man dead, woman injured in Rochester shooting
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Rochester police are investigating a homicide after a shooting on the city's north west side.
Police say the shooting happened just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday as a crowd was exiting a bar on Lyell Avenue near Saratoga Avenue.
Investigators say 24-year-old Edgar Deleon and a 26-year-old woman were both shot multiple times in the torso.
They were both taken to the hospital where the male victim was pronounced dead. Police say the woman has since been released.
Officers say they have no suspect information or a motive for the shooting.
Police are working to find out what led up to the incident.
