High lake levels persist, Irondequoit continues State of Emergency

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. -- The Town of Irondequoit continues its state of emergency.

Supervisor David Seeley says Lake Ontario is still approximately nine inches above flood levels and the water is still threatening public safety and health.

The state of emergency will remain in effect  for 30 days unless it's rescinded earlier.

Lake water levels are expected to go down by nearly a foot in the next month.
