The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. Friday on Routes 5 & 20 near the West Bloomfield line. Investigators said slippery roads played a factor in the crash.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office said Matthew Shoemaker, 17, lost control of his SUV on County Road 25 when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with another car. That driver is in the hospital with serious injuries. 01:03 PM
