July Jamboree at Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary
WOODSTOCK, N.Y. -- The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary hosted its annual July Jamboree.
Hundreds of people came out to the farm for award winning vegan food, live music and a chance to meet the rescued farm animals.
There were plenty of kid friendly activities as well including face-painting and a waterslide.
Employees say they raised thousands of dollars through ticket sales that will go directly to the sanctuary.
"It's a huge fundraiser for us. It's a huge awareness for us because it lets people know how important the work we do is because they have a chance to connect directly heart-to-heart, eye-to-eye, with the beautiful animals that we've rescued from abusive situations in factory farming," Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary interim executive director Jeff Lydon said.
This is the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary's first year holding the event at its new High Falls location.
