Gillibrand hosts town hall in Troy
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand weighed in on President Donald Trump's threatening "fire and fury" remarks made toward North Korea on Wednesday. They come as the North Korean regime continues to develop its nuclear arsenal.
With Congress on summer recess, Gillibrand held a town hall Wednesday night at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. She fielded questions on a wide range of issues, including health care and tax reform.
On escalating tensions with North Korea, Gillibrand says Trump's comments are worrying.
"I am concerned that sabre-rattling is not the right approach right now," she said. "We need political and diplomatic solutions on the table."
Wednesday night marked the fifth of several recent town halls Gillibrand is holding around the state.
