Vehicle Fires in Schenectady County Set by Arsonist, State Police Says

DUANESBURG, N.Y. -- State police now say arson is to blame for two vehicles found aflame Monday night in Duanesburg.

Around 11 p.m., State Police arrived at Mariaville Scotch Church Road, where they found two vehicles engulfed in flames.

Neighbors also reported hearing what sounded like gunshots, but that remains unconfirmed by police.

No injuries have been reported.

The arson remains under investigation, and police said there is no threat to the general public.
