Cuomo restrained from vetoing Children's Psychiatric Center bill

A State Supreme Court judge issued a temporary restraining order against Governor Andrew Cuomo, which keeps him from vetoing a bill that would keep the Western New York Children's Psychiatric Center open. Advocates recently filed a lawsuit to stop the state's plan to close the center. If the center closes, child patients would be moved to the Buffalo Psych Center, which treats adults. The legislature unanimously passed the bill that would prevent the closure. Assemblyman Mickey Kearns sponsored that bill, and discusses the latest developments.
