A Push for Procurement Reform

While procurement reform didn't make it into the final budget agreement, that hasn't stopped good government groups from continuing their push to restore power to the state comptroller. They're calling for passage of the New York State Procurement Integrity Act, which would give the comptroller the power to oversee state contracts, including ones for SUNY and CUNY projects. John Kaehny from Reinvent Albany discusses the proposal.
