Rising Price of Prescription Drugs

A new report today says that big Pharma is taking a stance against Governor Cuomo's proposal to curb rising prescription drug costs. Under Cuomo's plan, a panel would set a price ceiling for drugs and charge manufacturers if they go over that price. It would also impose new regulations on pharmacy benefit managers, who are the middlemen between drug companies and pharmacies. Pharma believes the governor's proposal will not actually help cut costs. Assemblyman John McDonald weighs in.
