Multi-Million Dollar Project to Revitalize Binghamton's First Ward
SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: The city of Binghamton continues to tackle blight. Officials announced on Wednesday an $11 million project to renovate a dozen properties in the city's first ward. It includes rehabbing 11 houses on Crandall Street to create 40 affordable housing units. The project will also restore the Sturtevant House to create a community center operated by the United Way of Broome County and additional housing units. Neighbors say they hope revitalizing homes will eliminate crime and rejuvinate the neighborhood they have loved for decades.
