Wet Weather in the Forecast for the Next Few Days

A slow moving front across North Carolina will keep us in an unsettled weather pattern that will favor showers and storms for the next few days.

After a few spotty light showers early this morning, more showers and a few storms will develop this afternoon.  In between, we'll see mostly cloudy skies with highs around 80 to the low 80s in the Triangle and the low to mid 80s in the Sandhills.

Showers and storms are likely again tomorrow.  Some of the storms will contain heavy downpours and gusty winds.  Wednesday's highs will range from the upper 70s to near 80 in the Triangle to the low and mid 80s in the Sandhills.

A few showers are possible again Thursday.  Many areas of central North Carolina will see between 1 and 2 inches of rain from today through Thursday.

Dry weather is forecast to return for Friday and the weekend.
