An Unsettled Weather Pattern for the Weekend

We ended the work and school week with clouds and a few showers and we'll see more clouds and more chances for showers during the weekend...

A warm front will linger across North Carolina through the night and into Saturday.  This will lead to clouds and areas of fog through the night and into early Saturday.  More clouds are in the forecast for Saturday but the best chance of rain will not occur until Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.

A strong storm system will approach the region on Sunday.  Our chances for rain will increase on Sunday and by Sunday afternoon and evening we will see the chance for isolated thunderstorms.  A few storms could be strong to severe with damaging winds being the greatest severe weather threat.

Mostly cloudy tonight with areas of fog.

Cloudy on Saturday with afternoon showers.

Cloudy Saturday night with a chance of showers.

Continued cloudy on Sunday with showers and afternoon thunderstorms.
