DPAC ranked among America’s top five theaters

DURHAM – The Durham Performing Arts Center’s ninth season of operation ended with a total of 460,000 guests.

In Pollstar Magazine, DPAC just placed in the top five among U.S theater venues in the 2017 mid-year rankings among reporting venues.

  1. Radio City Music Hall – New York, NY
  2. The Axis at Planet Hollywood – Las Vegas, NV
  3. Fox Theatre – Atlanta, GA
  4. The Colosseum at Caesars Palace – Las Vegas, NV
  5. DPAC – Durham, NC

"The King and I" topped the list of Broadway shows at DPAC for the 2016-2017 season:

  1. The King and I
  2. Finding Neverland
  3. Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
  4. Something Rotten!
  5. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

The theater held 223 events with 93 sellouts in all in the last year.

DPAC opened in 2008.
