The program is scheduled to begin on Friday and continues on Saturday at the museum in Raleigh. A play titled Etchings in Stone that includes audience participation will be performed Saturday night at the museum. North Carolina Vietnam veteran Ron Harris wrote the play.
Under the new proposal, the gas tax would almost immediately drop down to 36 cents per gallon, which is a cent and a half less than it currently is. Next year, it would drop another penny, and then to 34 cents in July of 2016.
