Before joining Time Warner Cable News, Mike spent six years at WLFL in Raleigh, N.C., where he covered the Carolina Hurricanes, the Durham Bulls and college action at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University and N.C. State University.

He was awarded by the Associated Press in 1996 for a report on the Raleigh Icecaps.

While in the Triangle area, Mike also hosted a popular radio sports show, "The Sports Bar" on WRBZ.

Mike is originally from Chicago and attended Northeastern Illinois University on a golf scholarship. After graduating, he worked in Lubbock, Texas, at KAMC as the weekend sports anchor and reporter.

When Mike is not covering sports he is playing ice hockey and golf.

Mike is married, and is a father to a daughter and two stepsons.
