Chris Williams is excited to work and live in the Triangle. He joined Spectrum News as the Durham/Chapel Hill reporter in September 2013.

Chris comes to North Carolina after spending six years in Mississippi. He worked three years as a bureau reporter at WHLT in Hattiesburg. There he shot, wrote, edit, and produced many of his stories. His boss then promoted him to the main newsroom at WJTV in Jackson in May 2010. He covered several stories including the historic Mississippi River Flooding in 2011.

A native East-Coaster, he was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He graduated from University of Maryland, College Park with a double major in broadcast journalism and criminal justice. He's a Maryland Terp at heart, but he's fully aware that he's now in Duke territory.
