A Warm Start to the Weekend

We wrapped up the week with very warm afternoon highs on Friday and that warm weather will continue for the beginning of the weekend but it won't last through the end of the weekend.

A cold front will work its way across North Carolina on Saturday.  In front of the system, we'll see another very warm day on Saturday with a few developing clouds.  The cold front may trigger a few isolated showers and even a rumble of thunder as it passes through the region.

Behind the front, cooler air will build into the state late Saturday afternoon into Saturday night.  This will set the stage for cooler but for near normal temperatures on Sunday.  It will be a one day cool-down with warmer weather back in the forecast by Monday.

Partly cloudy and mild with areas of fog tonight.

Partly cloudy and warm on Saturday with a very slight chance for afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Mostly clear and turning colder Saturday night.

Mostly sunny and cool on Sunday.
