Improving Weather in the Forecast

A cold front marching across North Carolina lead to the development on numerous showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening.  As we continue through the rest of the night, that threat of showers and storms will decrease through the region.

High pressure will build into much of the state on Sunday.  However, with the front near the coast, we'll continue to see some clouds with the chance for some showers and isolated storms.

This front may linger near the coast into Tuesday.  So we'll see a small chance for a few showers both Monday and Tuesday.

High pressure will then control our weather pattern later in the new week.  This will set the stage for quieter weather starting mid-week.

In the tropics, all is quiet in the Atlantic Basin.
