New Rams, Chargers Stadium Opening Delayed

LOS ANGELES — The opening of the $2.6 billion stadium for the Rams and Chargers has been delayed by one year.

Crews have already excavated about 6 million cubic yards of dirt. The delay is being pushed back due to the heavy winter rainfall. It forced huge delays during construction and the stadium is now slated to open for the 2020 NFL season.

Meanwhile, the Rams will continue playing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the Chargers will stay at the StubHub Center in Carson through the 2019 NFL season.
