Ruff Tail Runners

Looking to get active and also help out a local nonprofit? Ruff Tail Runners has the solution.

Ruff Tail Runners is a group that trains the general public to go to Austin Pets Alive!’s Town Lake Animal Center and run with shelter dogs. Once trained, participants can run with the dogs anytime from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. any day of the week.

“This is a good program for people for people just looking to number one, get exercise for themselves, and number two, help out a shelter dog,” the organization’s co-executive director, Lindsay Marsh, said.
